Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. As a part of the Democratic Party, she previously was a part of the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009); the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki worked as a CNN political contributor between 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and was later elected governor of Iowa. Psaki became John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. Psaki was also the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki was the press secretary to the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. [20] On February 11 2013 Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] There was speculation that she was to replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, in the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30, 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
